Chapter 2: Installation

Chapter 2 gives installation information for the modules.

2.1 Installation Requirements

Before installing a module, you will need the following (most

items sold separately):

• An MIL-9200X Media Conversion System

• Ethernet cabling (CAT 5 for in-band management)

• RS-232 Serial cabling (for out-of-band management)

• Female DB9 connector to RJ45.

2.2 Installation

Do the following to install a MIL-4750 Master or MIL-4755

Slave into the rear of the MIL-9200X Media Conversion

System:

1. For the MIL-4750, make any conﬁguration changes to the

module (i.e., jumper settings).

2. Remove the faceplate from the rear of the chassis.
